My experience serving in a church choir!!

Hello everyone, allow me to introduce myself! My name is Kristiaa. I'd like to take this opportunity to share my experience serving in a church choir. I would tell you from rehearsals to performing in front of a large audience at church.

Last month, in September, was one of the most memorable experiences for me because I had the opportunity to serve God in the church choir with my Sunday School friends. We've been preparing for this service for several weeks. Every Saturday morning before noon, and every Sunday afternoon after worship, we gather in the church's multi-purpose room to practice with our senior guide, Samuel.

Brother Samuel guided us patiently, taught us how to breathe properly, how to sing according to tempo, and how to break our voices to be better when we perform later. We are bring two songs, one of song is quite unique, because I also just heard it when I first practiced. The title of the first song is "Siyahamba", this song using in 3 languages, the languanges is African, Indonesian, and also in English. And second song is "Lord Jesus is Good."

In September 21, 2025, we arrived early to prepare the choir for the perform. We all so nervous, but also very excited to sing in this service. Before the service began, we stood together in the multi-purpose room and prayed that our voices would be a blessing to the congregation. We waited in the multi-purpose room for our turn to sing. When we are start to singing, we stepped forward confidently to the congregation. The atmosphere in the church felt calm as we began singing. I could hear our voices blending beautifully, and some members of the congregation smiled and sang along quietly.

After we finished singing, the congregation enthusiastic applause. I was so happy to see them smile and I hope our singing will be blessing. It felt like all the practice and hard work had truly paid off. What make me more happiest, me and my Sunday School friends can serve God.
